Individual withdrawal

If you wish to fully waive your rights to a sound recording, go to the Recordings/My double claims menu, locate the recording, and choose one of the following options:

  • Use the Withdrawing claim action directly on the sound recording.
  • Use the Rights action on the sound recording, then in the My double claims – Rights window, click the Withdrawing claim action above the table.

The system will ask for confirmation before proceeding. If you confirm, the sound recording will be removed from your sound recordings lists. If the withdrawal was a mistake and the sound recording is still yours, you need to re-register it.

Bundle withdrawal

You can waive rights to a large number of sound recordings via the Sound recording template. Please follow the instructions described under Help/Sound recording metadata registration, in the section titled Bundle editing – Using the Sound Recording Template. The procedure for waiving rights is detailed under Help/Sound recording template, in the section Withdrawing rights.
