Upload new list
Function overview
This menu item is used for bundle uploading of sound recordings. Uploads are performed via files. Supported file types:
- Excel files with .xls or .xlsx extensions, formatted according to the MAHASZ Sound recording template. (Excel 95 or earlier versions are not supported.)
- XML files compliant with the DDEX standard
- ZIP files containing any of the above file types
Preparation
To upload Excel files:
- To declare new sound recordings, download a blank Sound recording template using the link displayed on the screen or via Help/Sound recording template, then follow the instructions provided here.
- To modify sound recording data or resolve conflicts between recordings, follow the instructions provided here.
If the files are large, you may compress them into a ZIP archive.
Use the Choose file(s) button to choose the prepared files. In the file browser window, you can select multiple files at once:
- Hold Shift to select a range of files
- Hold Ctrl to select multiple individual files
After selection, a list of files to be uploaded will appear on the screen. Only files with supported extensions will be added to the list. The list displays:
- the file name
- the file size
- a
(Delete) icon to remove files from the list
You cannot add more files to the list. Using the Choose file(s) button again will clear the previously selected files.
To proceed with the upload, confirm your legal declaration of responsibility, then click the Upload button.
File upload process overview
Before the actual upload begins, the system performs a verification step. It unpacks the ZIP files and checks the types of the contained files. Files with unsupported formats are placed in the Invalid file(s) list, while valid files are uploaded automatically.
If any invalid files are detected, the screen displays the following:
- A list of Uploaded file(s)
- An informational message related to the upload
- A list of Invalid file(s) with error details
At the bottom of the screen, users can start a new upload.
If all files are valid, the system displays the Uploaded file(s) list along with the informational message.
Users can track the status of their uploaded lists by clicking the My uploaded lists button, which redirects to the Sound recordings/My uploaded lists menu.
To upload a new sound recording list, click the Upload new list button. This action reloads the current menu as if starting a new upload session.
Post-processing notification
Processing of uploads is not immediate and may take several days. After processing the uploads, the system sends an email notification about any files that were found to be invalid.
