Royalty revenues
Function overview
This function allows the rights holder to:
- view the royalties generated during each royalty distribution
- display the notifications already received via email and download the corresponding detailed lists
- access invoicing support
- generate charts or export data to Excel
Loading process
When the feature is launched, circular progress indicators appear, showing the progress of operations required to load the page as percentages. This allows users to track the current loading status during any potential wait time.
Table content
Once loading is complete, a table appears listing the distributions. For detailed instructions on how to manage tables, see: Table handling. By default, the list includes all royalty distributions, even those from which the rights holder did not receive any royalties.
Available columns
- Year: The year of royalty income
- Distribution: The name of the distribution (mandatory, cannot be hidden)
- Distribution type: The type of royalty distribution
- Created on: The date of the distribution
- Accrued revenues: The amount of royalty revenues allocated to the rights holder in the given distribution. If this is 0, the rights holder did not receive royalties from that distribution.
- Invoiced revenues: The portion of accrued royalty revenues that has already been invoiced
- Uninvoiced revenues: The portion of accrued royalty revenues that has not yet been invoiced
Additional information
Royalty revenue amounts are net values rounded to whole numbers according to standard rounding rules. A summary row appears at the bottom of the table, showing the total royalty amounts.
Private copying levy revenues are exempt from VAT. In such distributions, the distribution name and amounts are displayed in yellow. In certain types of royalty distributions, both VAT-exempt and subject to VAT royalties may be generated. These must be invoiced separately. In such cases, the distribution name and the revenue amounts appear in red text.
For recent years, distributions of this kind may show the Uninvoiced royalties split into VAT-exempt and Subject to VAT parts, making invoicing easier. If the table contains such a row, the summary row will also reflect this breakdown.
Colored warnings at the bottom of the table indicate the presence of such distributions.
Representing multiple rights holders
If the logged-in user represents multiple rights holders, a dropdown list of the rights holders they represent appears at the top of the table, before the table-related actions. To manage royalties for multiple rights holders at once, open the dropdown, select the desired rights holders, then click the Apply button.
The visible row of the dropdown displays the selected rights holders, and the table shows total amounts aggregated for those selected.
Note: The primary rights holder is the one selected at the time of entering the feature. This selection is visible on the left side of the application header.
