Accessing the function

In the Royalty data/Royalty revenues menu select the distribution and use the Revenue notice action.

Function overview

This feature allows users to view the royalty distribution notice for the selected distribution — a notice they have typically already received via email.

  • The HTML content of the notice usually opens in a new browser tab.
  • If the user represents multiple rights holders (see here), and more than one of them received a revenue notice for the distribution, the system packages the individual HTML files into a ZIP archive.
    After extracting the ZIP file, each notice can be viewed separately.
    The ZIP file is named using the primary rights holder’s name and the distribution name (e.g. rightsholdername – distributionname.zip).

Contents of the notice

The format of the notice varies depending on the distribution type, but typically includes:

  • The name of the rights holder
  • The name of the distribution
  • The amount of royalties distributed after deducting the handling fee
  • The handling fee deducted from the rights holder’s gross royalty amount
  • The rights holder’s net royalty amount (after deduction)
  • In case of multi-type distributions, tables showing royalties and handling fees by type
  • Billing information
  • Any additional relevant data

Note: Language of notice

Both the Revenue notice and the Excel attachment are generated in the correspondence language of the rights holder, which may differ from the language used in the application interface.
