Sales reports
Function overview
This feature enables the rights holder to:
- fulfill their sales data reporting obligation for the previous year,
- modify the submitted report until the reporting deadline,
- access the submitted sales reports in read-only mode after the reporting deadline has passed.
Upload period
The upload period is the timeframe during which sales reports for the previous year can be submitted.
- Start: By default, the upload period begins on January 1 each year. MAHASZ notifies rights holders via email before the upload window opens.
- End: According to the Distribution rules, the deadline is February 20 at 6 PM CET. In justified individual cases (e.g. for missing documents), MAHASZ may extend the deadline for a specific rights holder, granting a personalized upload deadline.
Sales reports window
Below the window header, you’ll find a dropdown menu where you can select the year you wish to work with. (The list includes not only years for which you’ve already submitted sales data.)
If you select the year preceding the current one (this is the default selection), a colored notification bar appears below the header:
- During the upload period: A yellow bar displays the deadline for submitting sales data.
- Outside the upload period: A red bar shows the expired deadline and warns that no further data can be uploaded. (In justified cases, you may request an extension—please contact MAHASZ.)
Tabs
The following tabs can be found right to the year selector:
- Information: Instructions for completing the sales data for the selected year.
- During the upload period: This tab is selected by default. Please read the instructions and complete the tables on the following tabs accordingly.
- Outside the upload period: For closed years, this tab only shows the principles that applied at the time of submission
- Physical sales: Displays the physical sales data table for the selected year..
- During the upload period: You can enter and modify data for the previous year’s physical sales. Data can be modified until the deadline.
- Outside the upload period: You can view submitted physical sales data, but cannot modify it.
- Digital sales: Displays the digita sales data table for the selected year.
- During the upload period: You can enter and modify data for the previous year’s digital sales. Data can be modified until the deadline.
- Outside the upload period: You can view submitted digital sales data, but cannot modify it.
If you select a year for which no sales data has been submitted, the Physical and Digital Sales tabs will appear empty.
Note: Table structures may vary between years.
Entering data
To enter sales data, access the function before the deadline and follow the instructions on the Information tab.
Fill in the Physical sales and Digital sales tables with the relevant data. You only need to complete the fields for which you wish to provide data. Summary rows are calculated automatically by the system.
Hover over the i icon for field-specific guidance.
You may pause and switch to other menu items at any time for a while. When you return, you can continue where you left off.
Important: Your data will only be registered in the system if you submit it as described below.
Submitting sales data
To submit your completed data, accept the declaration on either the Physical or Digital tab, then click the Submit reports button.
Submission will only proceed if all required fields are correctly filled in. If any table contains errors, a red error message will appear below the problematic field, and submission will be blocked.
Note: Submission applies to both tables, regardless of which tab you initiate it from.
After successful submission, a pop-up window will confirm that your data can still be modified until the deadline. (See below.)
Modifying submitted data
If you’ve already submitted sales data and re-enter the function before the deadline, the window will open on the Physical sales tab and display your previously submitted data.
- Modify the necessary fields on both tabs as described in the Entering data section. Submit the changes using the Submit reports button (see here).
- If you made changes by mistake and wish to revert to the previously submitted data, click the Discard changes button.
